The National Theatre’s internationally acclaimed production of War Horse, which has played in over 11 countries since its inception in 2007, returns to the West End this autumn. Based on the much-loved novel by Michael Morpurgo, War Horse follows the moving story of a boy and his beloved horse who is sold to the cavalry during World War One. 

 

Featuring unique, life size horse puppets by the Handspring Puppet Company of South Africa, along with powerful music and songs, this daring, imaginative performance has moved the hearts of over seven million people. A truly extraordinary theatrical experience, War Horse is a must-see this autumn.

Plot

Set in the rolling hills of rural Devon, a young boy named Albert lives on a farm and forms a loving and lasting bond with a foal, Joey, who he promises to train to sell. When World War One breaks out,  Albert’s horse is sold to the cavalry to fight and experiences the pure horror of the trenches. Determined to bring him home, Albert leaves his parents in Devon and embarks on a dangerous journey to find his dear Joey.

War horse theatre tickets

 Ticket prices range from £21 to £125. Well known for hosting televised shows such as the X-factor, the theatre has a flexible seat capacity of 1,000-2000 and therefore tickets vary greatly in price. The cheapest tickets are at the back and to the sides of the theatre, since there is slightly restricted viewing. The premium tickets are directly in front of the stage.

The Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre is easy to get to and we recommend you take public transport. The full address is:

Getting there 

Tube

The nearest underground is Wembley Park (Jubilee and Metropolitan Lines).  The theatre is a short walk from this tube station, Walk down the steps, under the bridge, up towards Wembley Stadium. To access the theatre by its main entrance on Fulton Way, take a right on Fulton way when you have reached the Box Park. 

 

You can also go to other nearby stations Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central.   

Buses


The bus lines which connect to Wembley near the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre are the  83, 182, 206, 223, 297 and N83. They all stop near the venue.  

 

Overground 

 

Wembley Park Station: A five minute walk from the theatre, this station is served by the Jubilee and Metropolitan Line.   

Wembley Central Station: London Overground, Southern Railways and West Midlands trains can be taken to Wembley Central Station. It is a 20 minute walk from the theatre.  

 

Wembley Stadium Station: you can get Chiltern Railways here which access Marylebone in 9 minutes as well as having connections to the Midlands, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.  

    

Car 

If you are coming to the play by car, you can easily access the venue by the M25 and the M1. It is recommended that you use the Red and Yellow car parks in the centre of Wembley Park, which are only a short walk away from the theatre. However, these parking spaces could be limited so please check in advance.  It is advisable to access the theatre by public transport where possible.  

Access  

If you have any access requirements, call the Troubadour Wembley Park’s access line beforehand on 0333 320 1663. The theatre is fully accessible by wheelchair, also ring this number for further information.  

  

There are two accessible parking bays at Troubadour Theatre Wembley Park which can be booked free of charge in advance. Please call the Access Booking line on 0333 320 1663 to inquire about availability. 

 

There are six wheelchair spaces available in the stalls. The front rows AA-DD are step free.  

 

Guide dogs  


Guide dogs are allowed to come inside the auditorium or alternatively, you are welcome to leave the dogs with theatre staff.  

Hearing Impaired assistance 

 

There is a loop system in the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre for hearing impaired visitors
