Plot

Returning to his old-home town in Sussex, an unnamed, middle-aged man must attend a funeral for someone in his immediate family. Memories come flooding back to him as he reflects about his mysterious childhood and the turbulent events that took place on his 12th birthday...

Driving past her old farmhouse, he reminisces how he used to play on the banks of a pond with his friend Lettie. Yet Lettie used to claim that this pond was in fact, an ocean. Plunging themselves into a magical world deep in the pond, the pair must face an adventure full of mystery and challenges…

The Ocean at the End of the Lane Tickets

Ticket prices for the Ocean at the End of the Lane start at £18 and if you are looking for premium tickets, these can be as expensive as £90. The Duke of York’s Theatre is divided into the Stalls, the Royal Circle and the Upper Circle; the best seats in the house can be found in the mid centre of the stalls or the mid front and centre of the Royal Circle.

Cheap Tickets and Discounts

If you are looking for cheaper tickets, then these can be found at the front of the Stalls, where there is slightly restricted viewing, or in the Upper Circle, as this section of the theatre is farthest from the stage. There are also slightly discounted tickets towards the back of the Royal Circle.

Duke Of York’s Theatre

Getting there

Situated in the centre of London, you can easily access the Duke of York’s Theatre using both public transport and car. Please be aware the theatre is inside London’s congestion charge zone which charges £11.50 between 7am and 6pm.

The Duke of York’s Theatre address is:

St Martin's Lane, London, WC2N 4BG

Tube: Leicester Square (Northern, Piccadilly), Covent Garden (Piccadilly) and Charing Cross Road (Northern, Bakerloo) are all very close to the Duke of York’s Theatre.

Train: Charing Cross Station is about a 10 minute walk away.

Bus: lines 24, 29, 176, 3, 6, 9, 11, 12, 23, 53, 87, 88, 91, 139, 159 and 453 stop close to the Duke of York’s Theatre.

Car: the Duke of York’s Theatre is part of the Q Park Theatreland scheme meaning you can enjoy 50% off your parking ticket. The closest Q Car Parks are in Chinatown and Trafalgar Square

Getting into theatre

There is a fully accessible entrance on St.Martin’s lane which has step-free access and a drop-off point to the main foyer directly in front of it.

Inside the theatre

Staff are happy to assist you throughout your visit and provide an at seat-service- please notify them if you require this beforehand. There are two wheelchair spaces in the Royal Circle and transfers are available. However, it is advised that you bring a companion.
