Plot

During 1930s Hollywood, Freddy Larcey, a con-artist, takes advantage of the high demand for new talkies in studios, passing off others' work as his own. Whilst looking for a writer to target, he finds Michelle Grant, a student and aspiring writer. A talented script writer, Larcey plagiarises one of her film scripts as his own which to his astonishment, goes on to win an oscar.

Determinedly fighting for recognition and her rights as an author, Reputation the musical tells the tale of Michelle’s fight for equality in a male dominated 1930s Hollywood. An unforgettable performance, the story is loosely based on a true story which cannot be revealed for legal reasons.
