Plot

Taking on you on an utterly barmy and hilarious trip through, time, Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain: Part five begins with the Ruthless Romans and travelling all the way the Vile Victorians. Along the way you can meet the Christians, Vicious Vikings, Terrifying Tudors, King James I, Samuel Pepys and more…  

With farting, puns and laugh-out loud historical songs, Horrible Histories is not only a fun but equally educational representation of Britain’s history!

Horrible Histories Barmy Britain Tickets

Ticket prices for Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 5 ticket prices start at £16.50 and can be as expensive as £42. The Apollo Theatre has a capacity of 775 seats and is divided into the Stalls, the Dress Circle and the Grand Circle. If you are looking for the best seats in the house, then these can be found in the mid centre of the Dress Circle and the Mid Centre of the Stalls.

Cheap Tickets and Discounts

If you are looking for cheaper tickets, then these can be found at the edges of the Stalls and the Dress Circle. Really discounted tickets can be found in the Grand Circle and particularly at the edges, where there is restricted viewing.

The Apollo Theatre

Getting there

You can easily reach the Apollo Theatre by public transport and also by car. Given that the theatre is in the London Congestion Zone, it is probably easier to access the theatre by car. The Apollo Theatre address is:  

31 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1D, 7ES

Tube: the nearest tube stations to the Apollo Theatre are Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines), Leicester Square (Piccadilly line) and Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines).

Train: if you are taking the train, then Charing Cross Station is only a 15 minute walk away and has many national rail services.

Bus: if you are taking the bus, then you can take bus lines 12, 14, 19, 38 to Shaftesbury Avenue or buses to Regent Street (5 minute walk) 6, 13, 15, 23, 88, 94, 139, 159

Car: the Apollo Theatre is a member of the Q-Park Scheme, meaning that you can save 50% on your parking ticket. The car park which operates in this scheme that is closest to you is Q Park Chinatown Car Park.

Inside the theatre

If you are a wheelchair user, then the most accessible place in the theatre for wheelchair users is the Stalls. You can use the wheelchair lift which has a platform and can take you to the Stalls. If you need the wheelchair lift, then please let a member of staff know beforehand so that they can assist you. Staff are also happy to provide an at-seat service for customers who cannot access the bars.  

Toilets

There are fully adapted Ladies and Gentlemen’s toilets in all areas of the Apollo Theatre.  

Hearing impaired

The Apollo Theatre has a Williams Sound hearing assistance system fitted in the theatre and headsets can be borrowed.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are welcome inside the Apollo Theatre auditorium or staff are happy to look after them during the performance.
