Description

Following huge success for his three time Tony award production Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Dave Malloy brings the unique and sensational production of Ghost Quartet to the West End. The show is an incredible haunting ‘song cycle’ created by Malloy; an eclectic mix of dark melodies and electro-pop alternate folk which is beautifully performed by four superb actor musicians.

Protagonist Rose is deeply in love with a treehouse astronomer (Malloy) yet much to her dismay, he falls in love with her sister. Seeking vengeance on the pair, she visits an evil bear and asks him to maul her lover and turn her sister into a crow. Agreeing to help her, the bear demands one pot of honey, one piece of stardust, one secret baptism and a photo of a ghost...

A complex and interweaving plot line, Ghost Quartet retells Edger Allan Poe’s “The Fall of The House of Usher” in an absurd and mind-boggling way. Directed by Bill Buckherst, along with his talented creative team, who are renowned for first staging the later successful production of Sweeny Todd in a pie shop in London, this critically acclaimed production of the Ghost Quartet will not disappoint.
