Plot

Most people are familiar with the classic Dickensian tale of A Christmas Carol - the bitter Ebenezar Scrooge who detests Christmas is greeted with a visit from his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley.

Taking him on a journey to visit Scrooge’s ghosts of christmas past, Jacob Marley tries to ward Ebenezar Scrooge off making the same mistakes as him, who is now bound in chains of punishment after living a life of greed. With incredible special effects, this version of A Chrstmas Carol will make you feel particularly christmassy!

  • Tube: the closest tube station to the Alexandra Palace is Wood Green which is served by the Piccadilly Line. Once you exit Wood Green you can take the bus from bus stop A and pick up the w3 bus up the hill until you reach the Alexandra Palace
  • Train: you can easily get to the Alexandra Palace Theatre as it has its own train station the Alexandra Palace Station which is located close to the Wood Green entrance. There is a regular service which runs from Moorgate, through Highbury, Islington and Kings Cross, and then you change at Finsbury Park
  • Bus: you can take the W3 bus which runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenhaall the way to the Alexandra Palace Ice Rink or Alexandra Palace Palm Court where you can walk to the theatre
  • Car: the East car park is sometimes open, please check the website for more details. If not you can park nearby but please be considerate to neighbours.

Parking

There are parking spaces available specifically for blue badge holders and dedicated accessible bays in the Grove car park. There is also a drop off point outside the Palm Court Entrance which you can access via the west slip road where staff can assist with directions.

Wheelchairs

There are some wheelchairs available for loan within the Alexandr Palace but they are available on a first come first served basis. To book these wheelchairs, you can book advance by filling a form out on the website.

Accessible ticketing

There are personal assistant and carer tickets available at the Alexandra Palace however these are of limited availability. Please look at the Alexandra Palace ticketing page for more information.
