Description

Boasting four floors including a basement club and a roof terrace, YES Manchester is one of the hottest venues of the minute and can cater for a variety of music events. Yes has become a popular place to meet and enjoy a range of events for both locals and students alike. A relatively new venue, YES has already welcomed prolific artists and DJs such as Giles Peterson, George Fitzgerald, Black Midi, Bearcubs, Laura Misch, Mac Demarco, Jon Hopkins, the XX, Let’s Eat Grandma, Puma Blue, Roosevelt and UK rapper Octavian. YES also aims to be a creative hub and social hub for all. YES is child and dog friendly, however children must be accompanied by an adult.

In the building of an old auctioneer house, local promoters Now Wave, who are leaders of Manchester’s music scene, along with Ruth Hemmingfield (the deaf Institue, Gorilla, the Albert Hall, Band on the Wall) have successfully transformed the venue. Many of its old features have been retained, including the mosicas and tiling in the bathrooms. The venue has been compared to Leeds’ famous Belgrave hall, which is mainly marked by the cheap pizza. The rooftop terrace, a particularly appealing feature of the venue, boasts a NASA approved soundsystem.
