Marking 10 years since its inception, the long awaited revival of Sucker Punch returns to London in summer 2020. Having enjoyed a sell-out world premiere in 2009 at the Royal Court Theatre, Sucker Punch is back to captivate audiences with its compelling and moving story-line about two London boxers.

Set in Thatcher’s Britain, best mates Troy and Leon, two young black men living in South London, are struggling against racial prejudice as well as high levels of unemployment. Although life is in many ways bleak, they find professional boxing to be the perfect antidote. When Leon rises to stardom through his boxing talent, and Troy keeps getting in trouble, their friendship is tested and so is the limits of the political and social system they are trapped in.
