Making his mark in the music scene with his powerful track 'You Broke My Heart So Gently', Sam Tompkins has enchanted audiences with his heartfelt vocals and punchy beats, as he effortlessly fuses R&B with hip hop and pop.
Originally from Brighton, Sam Tompkins began singing on the street as a joke with his friends which led to him considering singing as a career. At the age of 16 he was in a duo called the ‘Young Rascals’, writing a song called ‘Let You Down’, which ended up being Sam Tompkins first experience recording. Tompkins won MTV’s Cover of the Month competition with his cover of I Got You by Bebe Reha, which led to him releasing his debut EP, Coloured Emotions.
After busking on the streets and uploading videos on Youtube, Sam Tompkins released ‘You Broke My Heart So Gently’ on a record label and was met with critical acclaim. Following its success, Sam Topkins released an EP ‘From My Sleeve to the World’ in 2019 which included ‘Faded’ with Birmingham grime MC Jaykae and the best-selling song ‘Critical’. Throughout 2020, Sam Tompkins has continued to release new music, including ‘You’re the Love of my Life’ and his Isolation Diaries EP during lockdown.
Having enjoyed several sell-out shows in 2019, Sam Tompkins is back in 2021 to perform in his 2021 tour. Following the release of his isolation series, expect new and old material from Sam Tompkins and experience his beautiful vocals live in concert!
