Having starred on his own BBC 4 Radio series and appearing on Mock the Week, Rhys James’ razor sharp humour and witty written jokes have earned a name for himself in the UK comedy world and has written material for the likes of Russell Howard’s Good News.
Originally from Harpenden in Hertfordshire, Rhys James began his comedy career by performing in 2009 in student competitions including Comedy Central’s Funniest Student in 2010 and Chortle’s Comedy Award whilst studying for his degree at the University of Manchester.
Rhys James rose to prominence after performing at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010 as a performer for the Pleasance Comedy Reserve and later in 2012. Since then, Rhys James has made several television appearances and uploaded his own live shows to Youtube including Begins, Remains and Forgives, as well as appearing on Youtube football shows.
After having to cancel several tour dates due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rhys James is embarking on his first ever national tour and visiting a range of tour dates across the country. Expect old jokes from Rhys James and also an insight into his hilarious journey back to school from the beginning of 2019.
