There is no doubt that Bon Iver, who is currently made up of band members Sean Caret, Matthew McCaughan, Michael Lewis and Andrew Fitzpatrick, have made their mark in the folk and indie pop genre with their emotive, spine-tingling ballads.
Founded in 2006 by front man Justin Vernon, who was the original and sole singer in the band, Bon Iver exploded into the indie scene with Vernon’s debut album For Emma, Forever Ago in 2007 which he famously recorded in a West Wisconsin cabin. The band then went onto release several successful albums including 22, A million (2016) and i,i (2019), which Vernon recorded alongside other artists.
Having filled arenas with their sensational singles such as Skinny Love and Holocene, Bon Iver have won multiple awards including the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album in 2012 and the album was also nominated at the 2020 Grammy Awards for Album of the Year.
To support the release of their incredibly successful latest album i,i which they released in 2019, Bon Iver will embark on a European tour in 2021. Initially planned for Spring 2020, Bon Iver have changed their tour to 2021 which could be subject to change due to further Covid-19 announcements.
